How does the visitation go when both parents get their child through the court?

How does the visitation go when both parents that are divorced get their child through the court such as weekends and so fourth? How does the visitation go when both parents get their child through the court?
If i understand the question correctly, and you mean you are sharing custody... usually if you are able to work out a 50/50 solution the court lets the two of you map out a schedule that fits your and the CHILD'S needs. My ex and I do every other week for our two kids but we live close to one another. My advice, sit down with your ex and start with a calendar and a pen. Make sure you look up all upcoming holidays and be fair... remember, this is about the child. It's so important that in divorce the child (children) are never made to feel like they are being torn between two people who want more time than the other, so if you are doing this, I COMMEND YOU! If the two of you are not able to work out a schedule, then the courts may require that you go to mediation or an order will be enforced. You don't want to go there. After all is said and done, you can always make special arrangements to suit the other's needs and schedule. Good luck to you, it's not easy doing the right thing. How does the visitation go when both parents get their child through the court?
What happens usually (well in NZ) we speak with our lawyer and tell them what days you want etc...and then bring it up with your ex's lawyer who will either agree or disagree...this will keep on happening until you and your lawyer your ex and his lawyer both agree on the days...it can be a lengthy process...

Good luck
