How old do I have to be to get my ears pierced without a parent?

My cousin is scared of getting her ears pierced, so I was going to go and get mine done again (moral support). My aunt said she would take the both of us to get it done. Now I'm wondering if my mom has to be there to sign something. BTW we plan on just going to Wal-Mart.How old do I have to be to get my ears pierced without a parent?

This hair salon at a mall nearby pierced my friends lobes , my other friends lobes , and my other friends second ear piercing + cartilage with no consent





They were all 14.

You have to be 18 years old to get it done on your own, but at Wal-mart if you get your aunt to sign saying she gives you permission. Then they will do it for you guys.
In the US, 18. I think any guardian can sign off anything, but they must be your legal guardian. Most reputable places won't pierce minors without parental consent anyway
Well to get your lobes done its 14 but your cartalidge its 16 and for like your tragus and such its 18
