In Michigan is the non-custodial parent held responsible for actions of child?

I live out of the state, child lives with his mother in Michigan. If teenager has legal troubles or has a civil judgment against them, could I be held responsible as well as custodial parent?In Michigan is the non-custodial parent held responsible for actions of child?
Both parents can be held liable for any legal troubles a child has. Usually they will go after the parent that had the child at the time of the legal issues, but they can go after either parent.
