Why is a baby born to teen parents less likely than others to graduate high school?

I'm doing a paper on teen pregnancy / teen parenthood, and was wondering about this topic.

also, if you would be willing to, why are pregnant teens less likely to seek parental care than women in their twenties and thirties?

Please answer, and thank you!Why is a baby born to teen parents less likely than others to graduate high school?
As the parenting would be much more relaxed - meaning they aren't pushed to achieve their full potential because the parents would be hypocritical.

And pregnant teens are more embarrassed and ashamed of what they have done. They aren't proud of what's happened, and their pride would be ruined.

All my best (:

E-mail me if you want to know anything else (:Why is a baby born to teen parents less likely than others to graduate high school?
Because teen parents are children themselves, unable to care for themselves, let alone another human being. Most of the babies were unplanned, unwanted, and are neglected to a point by many, pushed off on family, because the ';parents'; need to go to gym class or their part-time career at McDonalds, or out with friends.

The kind of teens who find themselves ';oparents'; are normally not responsible, which is why they find themselves in this position, self-indulgent, tell themselves it won't happen, don't care, and are not smart enough to weigh the consequences.

Seeking prenatal care? Same reasons as above.
babies of teen parents are unlikely to graduate from high school because ';some'; parents may not put emphasis on education.

As for the prenatal care some of teens are uneducated or don't care so they don't do whats best for the baby
a baby is born to teen parents less likely than those who graduate highschool because kids mess around and then one thing leads to another and next thing you know the girl is pregnant at the age of 15.

pregnant teens are less likley to seek parental care than other women because teenage girls are afraid that their parents will hurt them or kick them out or not support them.where as women in their 20s and 30s seek parental care because at this point the parents are wanting grandchildren
Pregnant teens are less likely to seek medical care for many reasons.

1. Lack of money

2. Lack of insurance or knowledge about how to get it

3. They are hiding the pregnancy from parents

4. Not realizing the importance.

I can't help you on the graduating. Sorry.
Because of the stress of motherhood for teenagers. To bad if they did drop out that leaves the child in more havoc. Honestly, most teen moms leave their child in care of a parent so i see no reason they must drop out.
I would assume it's because the teen most likely didn't graduate high school themselves.

As for your second question, I would assume that's because they're teens!! They think more about themselves than the baby!
teen parents' babies less likely to finish high school:

no money

saw how parents were so think they can be like them (role model)

don't care

less likely for parental care:

embarrassment

scared

no money

don't care

not as educated on the need for it
I don't think that is necessarily does. I have many friends who were teen moms, who actually stayed in school and graduated. And they all had prenatal care from a doctor.
Probably because teens generally aren't as responsible and wise as people who have children at a 'normal' age.
i think u know the reason but just too ignorant to keep it to ur self

this is offensive, and plz dont say that u have NO IDEA about what i am talking about..
