Without coming across as crazy. I also have plans to get a GED just to show I am smart enough to pass yet also smart enough to know whats up.How can I tell my veteran parents that I am dropping out because the public school system brainwashes me?
If you were as smart as you say you are...
You'd hang in and outsmart the system.
Brainwashing is only possible when you don't know it's happening.
School is FREE (to you, I'm paying for it) and it's a privilege to be there. As with all things your PARENTS ar right.
Stick it out... make a difference - maybe you can reach others, so they are not BRAINWASHED.
If you're not there...that's one LESS VOICE of REASON.
You'll learn MORE by dealing than RUNNING.
You're at an age where you don't ';GET'; how wise your parents are.
If you don't get the SAME ANSWER on ANYTHING... your answer is very likely wrong. How can I tell my veteran parents that I am dropping out because the public school system brainwashes me?
get your GED first, that will make continuing your public education a complete farce. If they still argue, prove to them that the public school system is state run propaganda. Research books and documentaries that show how dumbed down the school system is. Show your parents just how much studying and hard work you are willing to put into getting out of school, just so they know that's it's not about you becoming a brain dead drop out but it's about you being smarter than your teachers and not fit for their system.
I think you're going to be all right! You do what you need to do. Get that GED, get a job and save some money and then find a good college that isn't steeped in communism and get yourself a degree. I would love to see someone like you become a teacher, so that our future generations have a change at a real education, and not an indoctrination.
I think u need to drop out first before the GED buts it's a good idea.
If I were u Id just be a pain in the *** to them and throw all the bias **** back at them.
Schools are complete mind ***** don't bother with college they are worse do a trade so u not on debt and make a living wage by ur 20
Get the GED first!
That proves you are committed enough, also.
(Commitment is a big thing with adults.)
Then, when you've the GED in hand, approach your parents and discuss the idea of dropping out.
Suck it up... you will get nowhere without a high school education.
Having a GED is a red flag to colleges. Sorry, it just is.
forget your parents, how are you going to explain it to your job interviewer at mcdonalds? here is a tip, i wouldn't say you thought you were being brainwashed.
You are a perfect fit for the far out right wing of the Republican party. Their idea of higher education is a GED.
Well don't mention the brainwashing for sure. But if you are old enough to do so legally it is probably too late.
Sorry
