What is the downside of a parent with Borderline Personallity Disorder?

My ex wife has BPD and has our two young boys (4 and 5) every other weekend. I have sole custody in the state of Oregon. She has been known to go crazy on a regular basis. Locking herself in the bathroom, telling the boys she is saving up money so they can live with her. She has made them feel really guilty about showing love to their step mother.





How do I get the court to look into her BPD diagnosis? Can I get supervised visitation?What is the downside of a parent with Borderline Personallity Disorder?
If the kids are telling you that she has times when she goes crazy then you should document every time that they tell you it. Write down exact words and then contact CPS because that could seriously traumatize your sons.


I have known young boys who's mom was simlar to that and no one ever did and thing and now they have issues with trusting woman all together.


The more proof the better. Then take as much legal action as possible.

definatly get supervised visitation! but u have to let ur boys no that they can show love to more than one person and they can have more than 1 role model in their lives! also, maybe ur x is just stressed! often times woman feel like they should be able to see their kids more often then they do when they divorce...and she wants to save money to be able to have that priveledge. u should try to see things from her point of view! but u should also talk to her about it if u can...she needs to no that ur boys r pressured to chose between her and their step mom, andthat if she would try not to presure them so much it would b nice. stay positive and set a good example 4 ur kids... and make sure they feel secure when they r alone with their mother and u.
